Sweet Corn Bites

Monday, 5 March 2012

I was recently sent some tasty Sweet Corn Bites to try out. We love sweet corn in our house and so these went over really well. Put together on a working farm in Sussex, Sweetcorn Bites are the perfect healthy snack. Packed with goodness, they’re great for all sorts of occasions from kids’ teatime treats to serious side dishes and more.

They were the ultimate in convenience as well. You just snip off the top of the bag, add a tablespoon of water, place the bag on a microwavable plate and presto chango, 4 to 4 1/2 minutes on high later, you have perfectly cooked little bites of corn! Perfectly sized for little hands too! These beat tinned or frozen corn hands down . . . because they are fresh, Fresh, FRESH!
  • 100% Natural & Fresh from the Farm
  • No artificial ingredients
  • No GMO, Nuts or Gluten

I juiced a lime and mixed it with a bit of melted butter, chopped basil and some sea salt and cracker black pepper and poured it over top of them. Wow, they were fabulous! We had them as a side dish with our supper the other night, but I could have quite easily made a meal of these alone!!

Handy and tasty for eating just as they are . . . or with a little bit of extra effort they are the perfect size for roasting along side of meats. Beautiful when tossed with tasty flavoured butters, they also make a wonderful side dish! (Chili powder, cumin and butter . . . yummo!!)

They are available from Ocado and selected stores at Tesco, Waitrose and Co-op, ata price of £2.49 for one pack. I give these two thumbs up! Many thanks to Kelly and Barfoots of Botley for sending some to us to try out. We loved them! Fresh IS best!!

  1. I was given some of these by Ocado last year, and thought they were great, just the right size and they were delicious. I had to steam them though as I don't have a microwave.

  2. This sounds delicious. We occasionally add melted butter, salt and pepper. We'll have to try it basil and lime next time.

  4. We have a supermarket called Leo's here and they have lots of UK products. I'll have to hope that they stock them. I'll keep an eye out for them. :D
