I have never made anything like this before, but the flavours sounded like something we'd enjoy, so I made a cut down version for us for dinner today. These old, tried and true classics are always reliable, aren't they?

It went together really easily and made a very tasty dinner. Like you, I used panko crumbs and I had some blue cheese, so I added that to the sauce too. Thumbs up for this one.Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04088355577823930786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-76735320989606693422017-04-04T15:37:33.853+01:002017-04-04T15:37:33.853+01:00Only because I am good at cutting the sizes of thi...Only because I am good at cutting the sizes of things down Monique, and some days I can cook a main, and a side and a dessert and maybe a soup for lunch and that makes for four posts! Today we had leftovers of so it was a bit of a smorgasborg! xoMarie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-92183818121424997822017-04-04T13:06:58.018+01:002017-04-04T13:06:58.018+01:00You eat something different every day:)You eat something different every day:)La Table De Nanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04358539954508050792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-23188186901959137952017-04-04T07:55:07.896+01:002017-04-04T07:55:07.896+01:00Thanks Jan, trying to think of what you could use ...Thanks Jan, trying to think of what you could use instead of mustard. Perhaps some chutney??? I don't think I would use Puff Pastry however. Really this dough is very easy to make. I am glad you enjoyed the soup with my spices! I've tried it again recently and it's safe to say my taste buds have not changed. Lol. Puff pastry is easy enough to find in the store, bc sometimes I like shortcuts. U sure know how to find some great recipes Marie, even when u were a young girl! I made pea soup last wk and put the spices in that u use. Well it made the soup even more flavorable!
