I'm not as fond of thinly slicing by hand because of my arthritis - that and a sharp knife is a recipe for bloodshed - ha, ha! So I used my food processor to slice everything into nice, even slices. I added carrot and turnip as I had them at home, plus the two types of potato, the celeriac and the last of my parsnips. <br /><br />I small batched this recipe as it was too much for our small household. I crumbled a little stilton over the top as I took it out of the oven and it melted in nicely. It looked lovely on the plate with all those autumnal tones and tasted even better. <br /><br />It's a very pretty dish and I think it would be great with holiday meals.
