I can't see why you couldn't use ground almonds, bearing in mind that they really have to be a powder, but not a paste. You don't want the oils to be released. So grind them very finely. That's all I can recommend. Let me know how they come out! xoMarie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-57306330451381606272018-12-03T18:08:26.834+00:002018-12-03T18:08:26.834+00:00I wonder if I made the cookies with ground almonds...I wonder if I made the cookies with ground almonds and then use a Christmas color M&M candy? Do they come out of the oven soft. Should I wait and put the M&M after it comes out?PWJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05492780454331774239noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-40185731192733349482018-12-03T07:16:20.897+00:002018-12-03T07:16:20.897+00:00You never know what you are going to miss from hom...You never know what you are going to miss from home until you can't get it anymore Marie! You are right, they are expensive over here, but so tasty, so every now and again I treat myself. Todd, thankfully, can't eat anything too hard or crunchy, so I get to enjoy them all by myself! xoxoMarie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-75425144413655675112018-12-03T07:14:51.196+00:002018-12-03T07:14:51.196+00:00You are very welcome Monique! xoYou are very welcome Monique! xoMarie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-36204930470380776262018-12-02T16:22:47.082+00:002018-12-02T16:22:47.082+00:00I love macadamia nuts - a little reminder of home ...I love macadamia nuts - a little reminder of home when I live so far away. It's something I always ask for if someone from home visits as they are expensive in Europe. My husband loves them as well, so I have to hide them or he vacuums them up in no time.

Shortbreads are lovely biscuits - I love their sandy texture and buttery goodness. These sound really tasty. I guess I'm going to have to bake them now!Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04088355577823930786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-48504295427454298952018-12-02T13:39:47.801+00:002018-12-02T13:39:47.801+00:00Oh these look so special!
