My husband asked for it go on the Repeater list. Homemade chili is the best and I think baked beans would also be very nice! Thank you! xoxoMarie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-48796190749356044082021-01-27T15:13:19.110+00:002021-01-27T15:13:19.110+00:00You could use leftover chili con carne Marie, whic...You could use leftover chili con carne Marie, which would be the best in my opinion, or even baked beans on their own. I love baked beans so would be quite happy with that! Those potato fritters sound fabulous! Oh my goodness, I don't think I would be happy with just one, I'd be a glutton and have two or maybe even three! xoxoMarie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-53258973860827522252021-01-27T14:34:11.964+00:002021-01-27T14:34:11.964+00:00Sounds so good Marie. I like hot dogs too but it's getting hard to find really good ones these daysCheckered soxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15348314830478256989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-49947296415182197302021-01-27T11:29:32.794+00:002021-01-27T11:29:32.794+00:00What a clever idea - to turn it into a complete me...What a clever idea - to turn it into a complete meal. And using pizza dough as well. You really are incredibly inventive :) They don't sell tinned chili con carne here, but the idea is one I can certainly tweak. Sometimes we need a meal like this.

I did not eat a hot dog until I was an adult. We had something called a saveloy (a bit different from the ones in the UK) that were sold at the annual agricultural show, but hot dogs were unknown. Our Friday night meal (coming from a strict Catholic family) was fish and chips. Often homemade from fish dad caught as we were poor, but an occasional treat from the local chippy, which always tasted fabulous to us kids. I have very fond memories of those chippy dinners. I never ordered chips, but instead something called a potato fritter, which is a thick slice of a big potato, dipped in batter then fried. I'd add salt and vinegar and gobble it all up, licking my fingers :)Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04088355577823930786noreply@blogger.com
