And they were healthy. I wish I could have a dog now, but alas, cannot. I think you could absolutely cook this in the roast program of your air fryer, but not sure for how long! Hope you enjoy it Gail! xoMarie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-23633736776861139592023-07-06T00:53:47.471+01:002023-07-06T00:53:47.471+01:00Hi Marie. Can I cook it (on roast) in my new air fryer? I can cook the celery and onion beforehand. By the way, reading the above replies--- I've always had dogs. I just rescued one from the pound. In the past I had one that had doggie MS. The vet told me in order to decrease his symptoms, to cook him "people food". As long as the meal was at a minimum 50% meat, he'd be OK. He told me to add vegetables and an omega-3 pill. Sometimes I wonder why we now have to feed dogs dog food.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-14686753858939597222021-06-19T18:36:49.702+01:002021-06-19T18:36:49.702+01:00Mitzie was thoroughly spoiled that way also Marie!...Mitzie was thoroughly spoiled that way also Marie! I fed her chicken and rice all the time. The vet gave me heck said it wasn't proper food for a dog. But she only ever got ill when she was on dog food. When she was on chicken and rice, she never got ill. That's a favourite soup of mine also! I am also happy you enjoy this dish! Thank YOU! xoxoMarie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-5888916762726758112021-06-19T18:35:14.760+01:002021-06-19T18:35:14.760+01:00You are welcome Elaine. I loved it, but then I have always loved stuffing and like you it was almost the favourite part of a roast chicken or turkey dinner.

I buy chicken breasts in bulk for the dog (yes, she is thoroughly spoiled), so I tend to poach them in the microwave and have then ready poached in the freezer. Sometimes she lets us "borrow" some of them for making your lovely chicken and gnocchi soup (https://www.theenglishkitchen.co/2012/12/chicken-and-gnocchi-soup.html - a firm favourite here) or a chicken casserole like this.

We are having a very wet, cold spell. I still have the central heating on! They say that it will start to get warmer next week. I hope so as it has been a very cold spring.Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04088355577823930786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-84337724786293862752021-05-28T08:34:36.420+01:002021-05-28T08:34:36.420+01:00Thanks for the poaching instructions, Marie. I'm going to try this recipe, for sure. Love and hugs, ElaineElaine in Torontohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02019377474247631541noreply@blogger.com
