My Grandma had a piggie cookie jar where she kept the most wonderful sugar cookies. We made little piggies of ourselves eating them. Thank you for the pleasant reminder. I fear I would snuffle the lot up so I have to reserve these goodies for special times when I have lots of people about to help me eat them! xoxoMarie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-84981164164275052522021-10-16T19:08:27.686+01:002021-10-16T19:08:27.686+01:00I have made a batch of these to enjoy for afternoo...I have made a batch of these to enjoy for afternoon tea. I took your advice to small-batch the recipe as there are only two of us and it made an ideal number of biscuits. I also used raspberry jam because that it hat I had on hand. They look so good and tasted lovely - like a rich sort of shortbread with a lovely jammy bite in the middle. Rolling them in sugar gave them a really pretty look and something I might do with other biscuits I make.

I'm not a huge sweet eater, but I enjoyed them very much, as did my husband who vacuumed one up still warm from the oven!Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04088355577823930786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-90175886500971456112020-10-15T08:39:37.788+01:002020-10-15T08:39:37.788+01:00She is indeed one of my treasures. xoxoShe is indeed one of my treasures. xoxoMarie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-20896665189410221062020-10-13T14:48:52.166+01:002020-10-13T14:48:52.166+01:00Love the cookies and madame Cochon:)Love the cookies and madame Cochon:)La Table De Nanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04358539954508050792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-25206415594488285862020-10-12T08:37:48.014+01:002020-10-12T08:37:48.014+01:00Oh yes, absolutely Robin! xoxoOh yes, absolutely Robin! xoxoMarie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-71193707044159894222020-10-12T08:37:23.061+01:002020-10-12T08:37:23.061+01:00Happy Thanksgiving Sandi! This is the way I also make them. I actually almost made them the other day but made a gingerbread cake instead. I may try rolling them in sugar next time because they look wonderful that way. It is Thanksgiving this weekend so I made my pies which we are enjoying. I'm also thinking about purchasing my dried fruits for fruit cakes soon. This time of year, Christmas isn't far from my mind. Hope you are staying well!Sandi@ Rose Chintz Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17415214311003251398noreply@blogger.com
