It has been 8 years since I have seen them, but thank goodness for the contact we have online. We also have some goods and provisions in. We should be alright for a little while, but we are rationing ourselves so that they last longer. I am not sure when, if ever, I will be able to have an online shop to top up. We are staying at home for the duration. We feel if our church has closed its temples and chapels, then we need to close our home. Its sad, but hopefully it won't be for more than three months. Fingers crossed. I hope you do make the pie. Its delicious and the leftovers are pretty wonderful warmed up the next day, and it also freezes well! You and Lars and Sophie stay safe and healthy! xoxo Marie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-23623399855213974192020-03-21T11:16:57.885+00:002020-03-21T11:16:57.885+00:00Oh yum! Wrap it in pastry and I'm all over it!

This sounds like something my grandmother would have made for us. She used lard in her pastry and she had the lightest, flakiest pastry I've ever seen. I have everything here to make this, so I shall try it tomorrow.

Isn't it amazing how people are stockpiling things and clearing out the supermarkets? I can't really understand it. I live in a small town, where people all know each other, so there's been less of it than in other places and a bit more community spirit. Though I did notice a lot of "out of town" cars this morning, so I wonder if we are going to get raided by those from large cities, who have cleared their town's shops and are now hunting further afield.

We are fine - plenty of stocks of food etc and so far we are not ill. But we keep to ourselves and really only go out to walk the dog. We are happy and content with our own company. The only disappointment is that my son and his family had to cancel their trip to visit us in May. I was so looking forward to meeting my little grand daughter, but what can we do?

Thinking of you, Todd and Mitzie. Keep safe!Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04088355577823930786noreply@blogger.com
