It sounds like you have had your fair share of problems with tempermental ovens! Nothing worse. We have an engineer coming today to hopefully fix mine. Finger's crossed! I hope your loaf turned out! Let me know! xoMarie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-54165002682131889732019-03-04T17:29:12.535+00:002019-03-04T17:29:12.535+00:00Well since the middle of December I have had 3 new...Well since the middle of December I have had 3 new ovens, after being without a working oven for almost three years, and only having a countertop unit. First one burnt everything, temp would go as low as 238 degrees and up to 428 degrees, after a battle it was replaced only to get a new one that would just shut off in the middle of baking. (cake boiling over in oven only to be pourable after time is up) Then I end up paying double only to be so sick that i'm stuck in bed for three weeks. All that to say I have tried this recipe now 4 times without luck and right now i'm about to try it one last time. It is funny yet sad that since I was in elementary school no matter who makes it, my birthdays cakes are always a failure to the point it is a family joke, Wouldnt be so bad if this were my bday you'd understand hehehehe..........keep your fingers crossed as LEMON anything is a fav cardamonbraidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03805980423284738451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-82377610865888372702019-02-09T15:14:45.155+00:002019-02-09T15:14:45.155+00:00It's a cold day today! As if I could let a lemon cake pass by without me drooling over it and vowing to make it. You know me and lemon ♥

It does look divine and I can't wait to make it. We have guests coming on the weekend, so this will be ideal as part of afternoon tea. There were 4 of them, and I'm sure there was a lot of competition about who was the best baker! They used to play scrabble or whist after tea.Eleanorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10265071004938442239noreply@blogger.com
