I went to an American friends Halloween party and almost held my breath at the thought of having pumpkin pie. It was awful! I realise now that she probably did not have access to canned pumpkin and the fresh pumpkin that was available in the UK was probably a jack a lantern, as we didn't cook pumpkin in the UK back then. One day I hope to taste "real" pumpkin pie and find out what I am missingKaren Lizziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10084189585391753049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-23287249024290788532021-11-14T10:54:34.654+00:002021-11-14T10:54:34.654+00:00Thanks Jean! I love Bundt cakes made with it as well! xoxoMarie Raynerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407913432222377267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7100882347408067241.post-35729767516209507202021-11-14T08:15:01.981+00:002021-11-14T08:15:01.981+00:00Tinned pumpkin purée is a lot more available in th...Tinned pumpkin purée is a lot more available in the UK than it used to be, now appearing on the shelves in Waitrose and Tesco, also online at Ocado. It's still a lot more expensive than in the US but affordable. I mostly use it for a spiced Bundt cake but your pie recipe sounds delicious.
