Mondy evenings are always Family Home Evenings in our house.   This is a special night each week that we set apart to do things together as a family.   Usually we share a special thought, some fun activity and a special treat to share.  It's a church thing, and we feel it is inspired and it helps us to draw closer together as a family.

As empty nesters we often invite another couple over to share it with, but now we have Ariana  with us that gives us another person to share it with and the perfect excuse for me to make a really special FHE treat!

I found out Ariana really likes Nutella!  I decided to bake Nutella Cookies.  (My son says there was a poor crop of hazelnuts this year so we should stock up on Nutella as it will probably go up in price.)

These have to be the easiest cookies to make.  There are only three ingredients.  Nutella.   An egg.  Some flour.   All mixed together, rolled into balls and baked.   And they are done in only 6 to 8 minutes!  Just like Magic.

*Nutella Cookies*
Makes about 24
A tasty way to get your nutella fix!  (As if you needed another reason!)

375g of nutella (1 cup)
1 large free range egg
140g of plain flour (1 cup)

Preheat the oven to 180*C/350*F/ gas mark 4.   Line two baking sheets with baking paper.

Beat together the egg and nutella until smooth.  Stir in the flour.  It will become quite stiff, and you may have to use your hands to mix it all in.  Shape into 24 walnut sized balls, rolling them between the palms of your hands.   Place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.

Bake for 6 to 8 minutes until set.  Allow to cool on the pans for about 5 minutes before lifting off onto wire racks to finish cooling completely.  Stor in an airtight container.
