Many thanks for your loyalty over
the past year, your lovely comments,
your faith in my culinary abilities.
Thanks also for sticking with me throughout
the good, the bad and the ugly!

May your holiday be filled with lots of love,
family, great friends, good food, good health
more blessings than
your cup can hold.

Catch you on the flip side!

  1. Merry Christmas from Oregon in the USA.........I just wanted you to know I had a Prime Rib for Christmas dinner today and made Yorkshire Pudding, following a English womans' recipe and they were perfect........I am so proud and will NEVER feel scared to make them again...........

    1. I think my recipe for yorkshires is pretty special! We Brits know how to do them. Glad you found a recipe you liked! I love Prime Rib! You have my mouth watering now.

  2. Thank you Pat, Gloria and Jill! xoxo

  3. Merry Christmas Marie and Happy Boxing Day (is that what people in England say? Happy Boxing Day? And what, is it any way?)Lisa

    1. Thanks Lisa! Boxing Day is the day right after Christmas. Traditionally in Victorian times, the servants would have to work on Christmas Day. In lieu they would get a half day off The day after Christmas, and the masters would present them with Christmas boxes, which generally contained fabric to make new uniforms, etc.

    2. Mmmmm, that doesn't sound like too much of a holiday. Half day off and then fabric that I will need to make my new uniform. Yikes! I too had success with my Christmas Pudding, but sadly there were no leftovers so I can't make the Pudding Ice Cream dessert.

    3. To the ones who worked tirelessly for the wealthy 24/7 with possibly 1/2 day off a week, from very early in the morning to late at night, it was a real bonus to have 1/2 day off and be given gifts as well. We love to romanticise those times, but in reality unless you were wealthy life was quite horrible. Happy you had a great Chsitsmas Pudding, but bummer about the dessert! xo

Thanks for stopping by. I love to hear from you so do not be shy! Please don't attempt to leave spam or comments with links. They will be deleted immediately. I don't even read them. Your comments will also not be posted if they are nasty either to myself or to other readers. Play nice.
